Camera Light Ring project

I made this from a $3 led light with 26 LEDs, some acrylic rings and a little tape. It is not quite bright enough for serious work, but i think tripling the LEDs, taking the total to $9 in hardware, should make for some interesting images. here are a couple of image from the project.

after a lot of coffee and a hardcore sci fi banter with some friends jokes about the face hugger starter flying. after the night had ended i sat down for a little visual tongue and cheek with my two pals; photoshop, and internets. seemed appropriate at the dawn of a new (pseudo) episode in the franchise.

This is the Roman Holiday Wine Lounge in CA. I designed the logo and layout for the construction of the building signage.

Halloween, Tony Stark costume

This was my halloween costume. made the light from a stainless coffee mug, some white polycarb, 10 leds, 2 3.5v button cell batteries, and a couple floppy drive parts. tapped to my chest with duct tape, and cut up an american apparel t shirt for a hole to let it sit through. a little eyeliner for a goatee and off to the prom i went... took 6 hours to make. Didn't even know what I was going to be until 8 hours before the party... i love caffeine.
